For more than 42 years, Team Chodorow has been a dominant force in the local residential real estate market. They have averaged a sale a week since 1977, and toward the end of 2005 they surpassed an astounding billion dollars in lifetime sales. They are on their way to closing their second billion dollars in sales and consistently rank among the top agents in San Diego County and in Berkshire Hathaway nationwide. What makes this mother and son powerhouse team so special? Financial counselors advise that steady investing over time generates incredible results; Team Chodorow has demonstrated that consistency is equally potent when applied to the real estate industry. Eric and Peggy Chodorow are among leading realtors throughout the nation and San Diego. The Team has been successful selling homes and condos in La Jolla, Del Mar, Carmel Valley, Rancho Santa Fe, University City, and Pacific Beach, as well as Point Loma and Hillcrest, but what pleases the Team most is not the volume or range of its sales. It is the consistency. “In good times, everybody does well” says Peggy, “but in bad times, we’ve kept up the pace.” Both Eric and Peggy are exceptional negotiators; they find ways to make deals for their clients. They listen carefully and understand their clients’ needs and goals; they leave no stone unturned to make their clients’ goals come to fruition.Peggy Chodorow grew up in New York and graduated from Cornell University. In the late 1960s she moved with her husband, Stan, to La Jolla. Stan is a Professor Emeritus at UCSD. Peggy was awarded the coveted McNaught-Davis/Knox prize, which honors an agent who exemplifies the qualities of personal integrity, community activity, and service to the real estate profession, salesmanship, and cooperation with associates. Peggy delights in music and theatre and can be found at performances of the La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, The San Diego Rep, and The La Jolla Music Society. Peggy takes wonderful photographs and is a prodigious reader. She likes to get her hands dirty in the garden.
Eric grew up in La Jolla and graduated from USC in 1990. Eric and his wife Anne, an attorney, have three children and live in Muirlands Village. He is very involved in his children’s school and sponsors many youth sports organizations. He and his wife support Outside The Lens, Voices for Children, and many other community groups. He is a member of the La Jolla Country Club and the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club. Eric is a dedicated athlete, focusing on golf and tennis. He also takes a particular interest in home design and knows the ins and outs of construction; he has done a major remodel on his own home.
Professionalism, state of the art marketing, and a team of exceptionally able and qualified assistants are the keys to Team Chodorow’s productivity. The secret to all their success? Repeat business and referrals from satisfied buyers and sellers.”Customer satisfaction drives our future success”, says Eric. “We don’t look back to past accomplishments, although we do take great satisfaction in having helped so many people buy and sell the homes of their dreams.”
